And the batting surely is the older cotton batting, which is what the heft and loft of this quilt feels like and the overall quilted appearance. And then near the edges are inset Pink bias tape scallops when I cannot think of anything to change the composition of a painting or the composition of anything, then I know it is at its best. All fabric feels like and is most likely of a good quality cotton quilting broadcloth to have survived so long in this great condition. While going through my quilts, I decided to part with this one with dogwood blossoms that I have had for many years and used as shown on our queen size bed. Color palette light Pink, mid Pink, hot Pink, meridian green, light grey and tan, brown and golden yellow applied over white fabric condition excellent, lovingly used with great hand stitched detail, no stains, snags, holes, or soil, but with some of the normal fraying of the Pink binding on the edges I have laid it out on my queen size bed over the bedspread, so you can get a mental picture of the overall size.

Sorry for the wordiness, but I need to point this out to you, as when a painting I am working on tells me it is finished, then I know that is it. All in white thread on white and sculptured to perfection. It enhances the overall appeal of the blossoms, leaves and stems. Approximate measurements wide across x long from head to foot.
