Collage is a modern Twin size quilt 70 by 82 inches made with collection of blocks grouped together in color families. The focal points of large pink purple gray square and mustard yellow white are nicely framed complimented by smaller blocks that fill out rest quilt. Because of the long length , this quilt would work well as a Twin bed topper or generously-sized throw in your living room, bedroom, patio reading nook. Each individual block was constructed with intricately detailed improvisational piecing.
Combined shipping is available. Handmade in the USA. The binding includes some of white used on back along with koan gray in ash to match slashing front.
The batting middle layer is quilters dream orient, an environmentally friendly blend of bamboo, silk, tensely made from eucalyptus wood pulp and cotton. Handmade in my non-smoking, pet-free home quilting studio. This medium loft batting gives the quilt a lusciously soft but substantial feel and beautiful drape. The overall feel of this quilt is very modern and abstract while maintaining a sense structure in grid layout.
The binding is attached securely with two rounds of machine stitching to guarantee a lifetime durability. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, so no further shrinkage will occur. Care: machine wash in cold water.
Tumble dry, low heat or air dry flat if you prefer. Using discord quilting thread in silver, I stitched closely spaced parallel lines across the entire surface of quilt, giving that unique crinkled quilt texture. The slashing, in koan cotton ash, between blocks helps to frame each square as its own little piece of abstract art. The reverse side is made with a single piece of fabric whole cloth in subtle white on print called cracked ice.
